Why do people like ringtones so much?

The mobile market has boomed for the last few years. Throughout the world, millions of people have the mobile world into their lives. The mobile phone and the various tones are status symbols. Ringtones show that you are up to date and happening. You can also use a test that defines which ringtone your personality best. You can really your lifestyle and certainly your musical taste on your sleeve.

A quick Google search will be countless articles trying to understand the popularity of ‘ringtones’, hundreds of bloggers waxing lyrical about the benefits of personalizing their mobile phones. The figures are also quite serious in the U.S. alone, the Yankee Group predicts, ringtones will be 500 million U.S. dollars. This is roughly equivalent to the GDP of Fiji.
